Hotel Olympia

The couple who run this hotel were wonderfully friendly and helpful with anything we needed. It's an old place, but cozy, and the beds were good, with big covered blankets and very large pillows. I was on the fourth floor and didn't notice street noise. There was some noise from guests banging doors in the middle of the night, but I don't blame the hotel for that. It's right near Las Canteras beach and surrounded by hundreds of bars. Highly recommended. I'll be back for sure.

We came here after our original hotel turned out to be double booked. A local restaurant owner brought us over when we were stranded. Vitoria welcomed us warmly, got us water, and showed us the room for our first night. We ended up staying the whole week. It was clean and pleasant, with friendly people and absolutely everything nearby. Fresh towels and bedding were provided daily. We'll stay here again, highly recommend.

The location at Plaza de la Feria is very central, just a few minutes' walk from Las Canteras beach, with bars and restaurants right around the hotel. It can stay lively until 1-2 AM, so noise-sensitive guests should pack earplugs. For a 2-star place, it does the basics well. My room was spotless, housekeeping came daily, towels were fresh every day, the beds were fairly comfortable, and the shower had reliable hot water. I had no bug problems, despite what some earlier reviews said. The woman at reception has run the hotel for 60 years and was incredibly friendly and helpful. That personal touch really stood out. A good no-frills budget option if location and cleanliness matter to you.

I have to apologize to everyone who stayed at the hotel on the same days as me. I was snoring loudly, so I guess you didn't get much sleep. Just ask my roommate! And yes, I agree with you all, the old lady at reception is awesome. I'll be back, Olympia.
