Relax Park 1

Lydia greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly and kind. The apartment was clean, well kept, and had everything needed for everyday living. We weren’t bothered by anything during our stay, and felt safe enough to leave our motorcycle overnight without worrying. We had read earlier comments about cockroaches, so we asked locals about them. They said cockroaches live in palm trees across the island and come down in summer, so the advice was to keep them from getting in from outside. The only small issue for us was the fan, which was very noisy, though I think the owner will fix it. There’s a shop nearby and a convenient transport hub. The old city center and Columbus Museum are two kilometers away. The price was fair, and we were very pleased. We’ll recommend Relax Park apartments to our friends.

The hot water was scalding, then ran out after three minutes and left us with ice-cold showers. At night, the fan was so loud that sleeping when it was hot was out of the question. There were no proper windows, so throughout our six-day stay we had almost no natural light or ventilation, and the room smelled almost unbearable. The supposed door was just a glass partition covered by curtains for privacy. The apartment wasn’t worth the price, and the photos didn’t capture the real feel of the place. The neighborhood was overflowing with garbage and, apparently, cockroaches. Even the drive there on our first night was frightening, and we were scared of what might cross our path. Don’t trust the reviews, and don’t stay here if you want to enjoy Las Palmas and travel home without worries. We absolutely don’t recommend this apartment, if it can even be called one. Stay date: February 2023.

We’ll be back. The apartment has all the amenities, and it’s in a very quiet part of Las Palmas near Vegueta. The best thing is the value for money, probably among the cheapest in the city. There are also two bunk beds where children can sleep.

A nice place with parking, a small general store, and a café for before or after the sessions. The girls are nice. I don’t know them personally, just say hello, exchange a few silly smiles, and say good morning or good afternoon.
