Hotel Araz

By far the worst of the 14 hotels we stayed at in Spain. I don't know how it has any good reviews. The cold water stopped working when people in the adjoining room used theirs, and there was no hot water. The food was awful, and the place felt neglected. Look for another hotel. In reply to your response, we parked after asking if it was okay. The water failed whenever the adjoining room was using theirs. The burger we ordered was undercooked, and it was still undercooked when it was returned. We paid for it anyway. We weren't rude. This was the worst hotel experience of our 14 nights. It might be wiser to address the problems than blame the customer.

Sitting outside with a glass of wine and that view was a real highlight. The hotel has drinks available, and there’s a bar about a 25-minute walk down the road. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and all of us tried kachopo for the first time. Really lovely. Breakfast was tasty and set us up well for the day. We stayed one night, five of us with our bikes. It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. We arrived early, but the accommodating hosts checked us in without any fuss. The building looks pretty plain from outside, though the rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The breakfast was very average, though the people running the hotel were nice and the spot overlooking the lake is lovely. It’s a bit remote, and we paid €80 for a return trip to find a restaurant.

Helpful staff and owners, with fantastic scenery around the hotel. We stopped here on the way to Santander, and it worked out great as a stopover.
