TUI BLUE Tarida Beach

The setting was lovely, though it felt a bit remote and there wasn’t much to do nearby. We might come back, but the food got repetitive after a week. There were some nice facilities, too. The noise restrictions around the hotel meant there couldn’t be a DJ at the sunset bar, which was a little disappointing.

The Retreat up the hill was a hit with kids and adults alike, especially the staff water polo competitions, which were fun to join. There were great pools for little ones and grown-ups, plus an adults-only section, and entertainment each night on the open-air stage. Food was buffet-style with something for everyone, and the drinks were all premium brands. The Wi-Fi was free and worked well. We’d come back for sure. We’d just spent a week here celebrating my daughter’s wedding with family and friends, 45 of us altogether, and it turned out to be a great choice. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. A big shout-out to Yolanda at the sunset bar, always smiling, and Cara, or was it Sara, at the Retreat bar, who was also cheerful and happy. Even with all-inclusive, I felt compelled to tip them because they work so hard. We had a fabulous time. It’s classed as five-star, though to me it wasn’t quite a solid four-star. Big love, Tony. We’ve stayed here six times and are excited to return this Saturday. The beach is right there, and the pools, shops, and even a doctor on request are all within walking distance. It’s a great family resort, with clean, comfortable rooms and fresh food with plenty of choice. Staff are warm, helpful, and lovely with children. There’s also an adults-only area and a bar with sunset views if you want some quiet.

Evening entertainment was almost nonexistent, and the service was just average. The rooms were clean and the food was fine, though the choice felt limited for a hotel with this rating. We were left to find our own way when we arrived, with no welcome, guidance, or information about the facilities and restaurants. The holiday was okay, but the place felt more like a 3 or 4-star stay than the 5-star resort it’s marketed as. The small details that could make it memorable were missing, and there wasn’t that special touch that would make me want to return.
