Apartamentos Buenavida

The views of both the sea and mountains are lovely, and parking was easy. The apartment is clean, spacious, comfortable and has everything you need, plus it’s close to the city. My one real issue was the very hard mattress, which made sleeping uncomfortable. There was also a faint sewage smell by the entrance to the building. Otherwise, it was perfect.

We’d come as a group of friends hoping to explore this beautiful island on foot, but we were completely disappointed by these awful apartments. The headboard kept falling onto my head, and I’ve never slept on sheets this wrinkled. The bedside tables were coming apart, and the wardrobe doors were impossible to open once shut. Even the towels felt like pumice stones for exfoliating. Just terrible.

I’d booked four months ahead and asked for a crib, but when we arrived they said they had none and couldn’t help. The place was filthy: dirty sheets, stained walls and a grimy kitchen. The curtains were ripped, the shower holder was broken, and the bathtub was rusty. There were cockroaches in the building too. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

At €10 per person each night, I can’t really complain, and the accommodation did what we needed. The location is fantastic, right by the airport, the place is well-equipped, the beds are very comfortable, and staff communication was easy. The downside was cleanliness, which wasn’t quite there. The towels and sheets were very old, and with no blinds or shades, daylight poured into the house from dawn. Still, for what we paid, I can’t complain.
