Angeles was such a gracious hostess, and Hostal Prada Borges made a great home base for exploring Leon. We loved being able to walk to the train and bus stations and the old part of the city. It's also handy to have an elevator. You buzz from the front door and they let you in. Our room was clean and the beds were fine. We had a small balcony on the third floor overlooking the street. There was some traffic noise, though nights were quiet. We hadn't asked for a quiet room this time, and I'm glad we didn't. Angeles showed us a nearby, efficient laundromat, and there's a wonderful bakery with breakfast and afternoon treats. I think it was called Cafe Roma Bakery. We didn't walk the whole Camino, but one morning we followed the yellow arrows and shells from here to one side of the city and back to the river.

We only stayed one night, arriving very late, and someone answered the door right away, which doesn't always happen. From the street to our room took three minutes. We went out and got back at 4am, rang the bell, and were back in our room in another two or three minutes. Check-out the next morning took all of two minutes. Everything was exactly how we'd want it. Highly recommended.

The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The hostel is well located, clean, and has what you need for a comfortable short stay. The staff were friendly.
