Parador De Limpias

The breakfast was excellent, and everything was very clean. Staff were friendly, and our large room had big windows facing the garden. The parador sits in a park. Free parking is at the park entrance, though you can unload your suitcases near the hotel. It seems you can pay a small fee to park beside the entrance to the building if you’d rather not be far from your car overnight.

A generous breakfast buffet, including a cooked item, gets the day off to a good start. The guest rooms and shared spaces are spacious and close to nature, with comfortable furnishings, large windows onto the garden, and a roomy, well-equipped bathroom. Parador de Limpias is ideally located for enjoying the outdoors and visiting several nearby prehistoric caves with cave art. Highly recommended.

The hotel needs renovation. The rooms are large, but the wooden floors and thin walls mean you can hear people all day. Every room was freezing at night, and the air conditioning didn’t work. I reported it to Sophia at Reception, but her service was terrible. They didn’t seem to care. There are virtually no dining options in Limpias either. I wouldn’t stay again. I asked to cancel three of my four days, but they wouldn’t let me.

We couldn’t get enough of the food, and breakfast was a fabulous buffet with hot options too. It’s a very clean, peaceful hotel, with attentive staff who appreciated our efforts to speak Spanish. A lovely way to start our holiday. The only thing I’d fault was that the pool wasn’t open. Especially thanks to the wonderful waitresses. This hotel is a good fit if you want to try the local cuisine.
