Apartamentos Verdemar

The construction noise made this apartment unusable for us. From 8 am to 8 pm, the terrace and bedrooms faced a building site, with machinery running at all hours, including a crane, drills, and angle grinders. The noise was unbearable, and we couldn't use the terrace. The workers, who are completely innocent in this, were constantly right by the windows and terrace. We couldn't eat breakfast or lunch in the apartment, sleep in on vacation, take a nap, or just get some peace. The original photos hid this by cropping out the building and keeping the curtains drawn, so you only discover it when you arrive. We're sharing this to warn other guests. It was a nightmare. This has been our worst experience with Booking.com. When we said we'd file a complaint, they told us they'd charge us for an extra night because we checked in two hours early. That check-in had been agreed to because the accommodation was available, and they handed it over early, despite the usual check-in being 5 pm, which is quite unusual for tourist accommodation. Luckily Booking.com intervened. All the communication was extremely rude, with very little respect or professionalism. Terrible customer service, as other users have mentioned too. We're now in legal proceedings and feel scammed. The place only has the bare minimum, with no bar of soap or kitchen towel. They even cut the scouring pads in half to save money. But compared with not being able to rest, that's the least of our worries.

The apartments were quite nice, a good size, and well equipped. We just felt the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough.

It's in a great location and has everything you need. The apartment was clean and well equipped, and I'd recommend it. The sofa isn't very comfortable, though, and they need another one.

We were very comfortable and will definitely come back. Even though we stayed only one night, the apartment stood out for its size, layout, location, and cleanliness. The kitchen had everything, and the heating came on right away. The TV wasn't working, which was the one downside. For anyone traveling with children, there's a park and a supermarket just 30 meters away.
