My first time trying self-catering in Spain, and Asturias was a great pick. Easy to do, and a lovely place tucked away from the usual route. You can walk to an interesting beach, a little shop, and a bar. From there, northern Spain is your oyster, or even cocida montanas!

The village is really pleasant, and the place has lovely traditional decor and well-kept rooms. The host is very welcoming. It seems great for a quick stop, and probably even better if you stay a few days.

We had a great three-night stay with the family, and our dog could come along too. Our attic duplex was just what we wanted. Downstairs there’s a shared area with a fireplace, board games, and bikes if you fancy a ride. Ángel, the owner, is super friendly and always attentive. We’d definitely recommend it and will return.
