Mazuga Rural Sablón Apartments

What finally made this feel so different was how little help we got after returning year after year. For 18 years, our group of five had stayed in the same apartment without trouble. This time my brother, who lives abroad, hoped to join us for a few days. We told management he might come, but they said no and made us book a hotel room, even though there’s a sofa bed in the apartment. It’s broken, anyway. Bringing someone for a few days seems out of the question now. We’ve spent more than 19 years enjoying summers at "La Mazuga Rural," and our family has had some unforgettable holidays there. Since the management changed two years ago, though, our experience has been disappointing. The apartments themselves are the same, but the service isn’t. This year we stayed in our usual apartment for 15 days, and the bathroom had worrying damp from the first day. We complained repeatedly, but no one fixed it. The rental included two full cleans, with fresh sheets and towels, yet nobody came even once. We kept reminding them and got excuses. Friends staying at "Cueto Mazuga" had their place cleaned twice over the same dates. This has never happened to us before. The garage remote had no batteries, and nothing was done after we reported it. The sofa bed is broken, too. It left us feeling as if our years of loyalty didn’t matter and our concerns weren’t wanted. The pool, garden, apartments and shared areas are the same at "Cueto Mazuga," but the owner there is attentive, friendly and seems to care about guests. I’d recommend staying there instead. It’s painful to look for somewhere else after this place meant so much to our family. We can’t recommend "La Mazuga Rural" with the current management, and hope the service gets back to the level we used to value.
