Montemar

We cycled from Comillas in the rain and arrived exhausted. The staff were expecting us, helped bring in our bags, and showed us the excellent secure bike parking. Reception was helpful and professional. We had a drink at the bar, then went elsewhere for supper. Breakfast at the Don Paco hotel across the road was great. I'd stay here again.

We rented well-maintained electric bikes and explored the beautiful coastline from Llanes to Llames. Our room was nicely renovated and very clean, with a good ventilator. The staff at both the hotel and El Paco restaurant were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay. We were here for two nights on an Asturias road trip. The hotel is near the city center and has a large car park guests can use. We booked a half-board gastronomic package on the hotel's direct website. Breakfast and dinner at El Paco, next to Montemar and run by the same family, were delicious. The restaurant is in a beautifully restored convent dining hall. Thanks to the owners and all the staff. The location is great, very close to the beach, and the prices aren't insanely high for such a beautiful place. Everything was very clean and hygienic, with all the things you'd want in a hotel. The staff were polite and the food was good. Worth it, and we'd definitely recommend it and come back.

That breakfast was so generous: fresh fruit and juice, yogurt, eggs, toast, and a croissant. Such a shame the coffee was cold. The modern rooms and bathrooms were beautiful and clean, with a balcony and a view. I loved the vinyl flooring, warm under bare feet, and the blackout curtains. The bed was comfortable and the lighting was good.
