The Old Seaman

We loved the hotel’s unusual, interesting design, and the common spaces are especially beautiful. It’s a peaceful place to unwind after walking the Camino.

The rooms were superb, breakfast was delicious, and the whole B&B had such a relaxed feel. Juan and Rob made us feel welcome straight away. We’ve stayed in a lot of places over the past few years of travel, and this is one of the best. Nothing to complain about.

We’re walking the Camino and got such a lovely welcome here. The host really goes the extra mile, and the rooms were perfect with comfortable beds. Best service we’ve had so far. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I’d worked in lunchrooms, big hotels, and a theme park, but nothing compared with being here and seeing and tasting it for myself. Grandioso maraviloso! Muchos graçias Juan. Connected for life! Disfruta la vida m! Bom bagay Seaman. I was drowning in the ocean, with the kraken licking my feet, and thought I was going to die when I saw the source, the essence of life. So I started meditating. Sun Ra showed me the way between oceans, over mountains, and through fields, until I spotted the ruin atop Celorio. I knew there might be treasure there, despite what Rumi said. Sure enough, among the rocks I found the spade of The Old Seaman. The Flying Dutchman took it and let him row to the harbour of Celorio. Juan understood exactly what I needed, and I fell into Nirwana. My body needed Three days to recover, and I couldn’t have asked for a better retreat centre. The Old Seaman had always been a rumour, but now that I’ve been here, I’ll float through the rest of my camino like a butterfly. Juan + The Old Seaman = LOVE. The hoodie is my new best fellow! Tomorrow we’re heading west, grateful for what we have. There’s a cathedral waiting for us… 🙏💫🎣
