Alberg Can Ribals

We enjoyed our stay with a large group, including lots of babies. The owners were pleasant, and both dinner and breakfast were nice. The wall climbing area could use some maintenance.

Laura was so attentive and welcoming that we felt right at home, and the homemade food was delicious. We also loved the mountain views from the house, and the alpacas were a big hit with the little ones. Can Ribals is well placed for trips around Cerdanya and visits to Andorra. It's a hostel, so some facilities could use updating, though it has what you need for a great stay. We'd recommend the Aransa Nordic ski resort and the snowshoeing trails.

Laura made us feel very welcome and looked after us attentively. We had a great weekend. Highly recommended.

We had half-board in August, and the food was very good. The menu changed, with several dishes to choose from each day. Our room was spacious, and both it and the bathrooms were very clean. The place is pet-friendly, which is great, though a sign asking people to pick up after their dogs would help. We saw some guests leave their dogs loose, and they sometimes went on the paths or in the children's play area. 🤬 The large playground is near a river, so balls can roll into it easily. Getting them back means watching out for nettles. Parking was easy, with plenty of space. We also missed having a bit more tourist information. It's a good base for spending a few days and exploring the area. There are stairs up to the rooms, but a back entrance opens straight onto them because of the slope, which could help anyone with mobility issues. In August, we wished the windows had mosquito nets, since flying bugs could come in when we wanted fresh air at night.
