The rooms are adequate and the hostel is in a good location, but the food was so limited that there wasn't enough for everyone. Breakfast was meant to be at 8:00 am. We came down at 8:10 and found nothing left. When we politely asked the manager if anything could be served for two adults and three children, they said there was nothing, and offered no other solution. We’ve stayed in plenty of hostels and know what to expect, but have never had this happen. They still charged us for half-board. Terrible service.

The woman at reception, who also handles service, was lovely, attentive, and very professional. I enjoyed the meals a lot too, even getting offered seconds of both my starter and main. I know the food may not suit everyone, but it worked very well for me. Llívia is convenient for getting around on foot, with everything within a 10-minute walk. The ski slopes are under half an hour away, and it feels far removed from winter's tourist-packed Font-Romeu. The rooms are decent. I’d recommend the hostel 100%.

The woman in the kitchen was helpful, but the rest of the experience was a disaster. Service was basically absent, and we had to do everything ourselves, including cleaning the table. Portions were tiny, and they brought out the salad for dessert, as they did with everything else. I was really disappointed. We won't be back. A terrible experience.

The cooks were friendly, and this small hostel could work well for a couple out hiking. With children, though, I wouldn't recommend it: there’s no garden, big patio, or playroom, just a small dining room with four toys. The entrance opens onto a street without sidewalks where cars pass by. Reception was unattended most of the time, apart from when we arrived on Friday, and nobody said goodbye when we left.
