As we were leaving, we saw people being let in with a large dog, right in the area where we'd been told dogs weren't allowed. We'd been turned away despite seeing someone inside with a dog at their feet, and we had a dog with us too. They said people were eating in the other area and dogs weren't permitted there. We'd gone for lunch but got such awful service from the waiters or owners that we left. Then they ignored us when we tried to order takeaway. It felt very clear that they didn't want us there. I don't want to assume the worst, but we were the only ones speaking Spanish. I can't recommend the place. There are much better bars in this beautiful town.
We used to come here regularly because breakfast was usually good and reasonably priced. Today we were charged 6 euros for a slice of Spanish omelet that was inedible: the potato was raw, and it needed more egg because it was falling apart. I didn't expect a place like this to adopt a high-season, make-money-from-passing-customers attitude. I know what to do now. Never again.
We only tried the cafeteria. The coffee and service were very good, and the price was fair.
Maybe we caught them on a bad day. The waitress said they had a leak, but even so the service was poor. They were very slow and disorganized despite not being full. The dishes weren't impressive: the asparagus was sad and even had flaky salt on it, the meat was just okay, and the only desserts available were ice cream. Hopefully they improve, and we'll come back.
