Hotel Best Lloret Splash

The kids' pool area was a holiday highlight. Slides, splash areas and activities kept the children busy, so the adults could relax too. The staff also made a real difference: everyone was welcoming, hardworking and happy to help with a smile. There was plenty of food choice for everyone, even picky eaters, with something different to try and everything kept well stocked and organised. Our room was spotless every day and felt fresh and comfortable to return to after time around the pool. We had such a lovely stay at Best Splash Hotel. We'd happily come back and would recommend it to families.

The kids made good use of the soft play, and the hotel is close to the main strip and beach. Staff were so nice and made the holiday even better. We just got back from a lovely one-week stay and would love to return. Our room was huge, with plenty of room for our family of four, and could happily have slept a family of five or six. The hotel was very clean. The food hall had lots of options for all of us, and the food was good, though a few themed nights would have been nice. Dinner at 7:15 was late with young kids, so we had to use the snack bar. Starting that around 6 would have worked better. Having only one drinks bar seemed silly, since it could get rammed, and there looked to be plenty of upstairs space for another. It was 10/10 for us. If you're going, don't book Barcelona airport: the stated 1.5 hours is more like three. Book Girona instead, as it's much closer.

We enjoyed our family holiday and thought the hotel itself was good, but one incident has left us very disappointed. We left our children's iPad on the bedside table before going to breakfast and then the pool. When we came back later that day, just after the cleaner had been in, the screen was SMASHED to pieces and the iPad had been left in a different position. We understand accidents happen, but the cleaner denied it, which felt totally unfair. We were told to make a claim through the hotel's insurance, but they said they wouldn't cover the cost of a new screen or repair. It's really put a downer on the holiday. You expect belongings left in your room to be somewhat safe. Anyone leaving VALUABLES there should be AWARE that if hotel employees damage them, you'll be left to pay for it YOURSELF.

Breakfast was spot on. Lunch and dinner were fairly similar each time, with mainly fried buffet options. The grill offered more interesting things, and there were some traditional choices here and there, but I would have liked more of those. The staff were exceptional and very accommodating and friendly, especially in the restaurant, Angeles & Doris, and at the pool bar, ageta & Jose luis. Facilities were clean and well maintained, and I didn't hear anyone complaining during our stay. Our room was more than enough, though we spent as little time in it as possible. Staff came by daily to change towels and make the beds. It had a mini fridge with a couple of drinks on arrival, and we kept it stocked from local shops. The area is geared toward tourists. The beach is pretty and busy, though not sandy, and there are lots of places within walking distance to explore if you want a break from the resort. It was our first time at this resort, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
