The restaurant was top-notch and very flexible with my vegan diet, and Andres was great. We had a wonderful experience in this lovely place. The staff gave exceptional service and were very helpful. Price and quality were a ten. Susanne and Robert will certainly return.

We lost confidence after looking at the other reviews, so we gave it a miss. We were trying to book the Habana Suite for one night, with an hour of private spa time and a 50-minute couples massage. They could only provide one massage at a time, so we dropped the massage, no big deal. The suite was quoted at 295, and they told us to book online. The website showed 355 for me and 385 for my partner on that same site. Like so many Spanish businesses, it probably could be excellent, but it doesn't seem to be managed properly.

Mercé made our stay feel personal with her warmth, attentiveness and friendliness. She went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and helped us feel right at home. The hotel has impressive architecture, mixing traditional charm with modern elegance, and the location gives you breathtaking views and easy access to local attractions. The food was delightful, with a variety of Spanish dishes that had me looking forward to every meal. I highly recommend it for the design, location, food and service. A truly unforgettable experience.

The restaurant food was excellent, and we'd definitely come back for lunch and the views. But the hotel feels overpriced for what it offers. The route in is a 3km dirt road, and the hotel signs aren't well maintained. From the outside it looks fantastic, and the restaurant and outdoor pool area are beautiful, with a stunning view. The guest rooms were a letdown. They had cheap IKEA furniture, damaged walls, old smashed flies stuck to the walls, and a TV barely hanging on. They're very basic, far from what you'd expect at a 5-star hotel. Like other reviewers, we don't understand how it got a 5-star rating. We booked the spa and had it to ourselves. I don't want to know how many couples bathe there alone each day. When we turned the bubbles off for a bit, we saw a film of grime floating on top of the water and got out immediately. We also had an incident with a very rude staff member. When we told the front desk, nobody apologized. They basically said we should excuse her because she was dumb and short. What a way to speak about a colleague. I'd avoid staying overnight, and especially the indoor pool.
