The giant hamburger was the highlight, with an amazing homemade bun, and the fries were great too. Prices were good, and the place had a nice local feel. They couldn’t find an English menu, but we managed to translate it, and our waiter spoke a little English. I’d highly recommend it.

The cecina and salad were okay, but the sandwich was absolutely terrible. Food quality in the cafeteria is low, so I wouldn’t recommend eating there unless you’re just after cheap calories.

It’s right in the village centre, close to all the places to eat and drink, and was relatively quiet. Our room was comfortable and warm on a mid-season night, and the shower was great. We slept well. The extra-cost breakfast at their sister cafetería was fine too. A good choice for pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago.

The portions were generous, and everything in the daily menu tasted really good. They cook with local products. On a cold day, nothing beats a bowl of caldo verde. Make sure to leave room for dessert.

We’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. This time I had beautifully cooked hake with assorted vegetables, including asparagus, tomatoes, piment de padron and other things. The service was friendly and prompt.
