Hotel Ciudad de Logroño

Michael, the morning manager, was very helpful. The room was clean, though the view was awful, looking onto the porch of an apartment behind it. The hotel was nice, but not close to the city's main attractions. If I were walking the Camino, I’d consider somewhere else.

I was exhausted and just needed to sleep, but the walls and doors seemed thinner than cardboard. I could hear everything from the room above: walking, talking, laughing, then flushing, showering, and vomiting late at night. These must be the thinnest walls in a hotel.

I had a really nice stay, and breakfast was good. The on-site parking was handy, though it's very small and you may have trouble getting a space.

I chose this hotel over a shared albergue because, as a Camino walker, I was exhausted and wanted a private, quiet place to rest. Instead, guests next door spent four hours with the TV at full volume, shouting and singing. It was well beyond ordinary noise. My partner could hear them clearly while talking to me on the phone. When I called reception, they said they only spoke Spanish. Later my partner called, and instead of speaking to the noisy guests, staff offered to move me. That meant packing everything again and losing more of my rest time. Completely unacceptable. I suggested having at least one quiet floor for guests who need to rest. The receptionist replied, “This is Spain, here everyone can do whatever they want until 10 p.m.” That felt unprofessional and careless, and almost discriminatory. It's shocking to confuse hospitality with nationalism. I can't recommend this place to anyone who values rest, respect, and basic customer service.
