The room itself was excellent, large, quiet and comfortable, with a high ceiling, a nice bed and a great bathroom. We also paid for a private space in the building's garage, which isn't directly accessible from the street. During our stay, someone tried to break into our car there, and we have photos of the damage. Reception said there were no cameras and apologized, but offered no further help or concern. The desk was unattended at times, including late at night, and the building entrance wasn't well monitored, so anyone could get inside, including to the parking area. For a hotel at this price, we expected better security and care. Now we have to pay to repair the car, and the hotel has offered nothing beyond a shrug. We regret staying here; the incident and response overshadowed the otherwise beautiful hotel and room.

The town is beautiful and the people are wonderful, but the hotel doesn't match that. The rooms and location are nice, yet the place feels unloved, like nobody really cares. From check-in through departure, I never once found anyone at reception, and the staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered. There are no weights in the gym, which makes it nearly useless. This is NOT a four-star hotel.

Modern rooms and comfortable mattresses make this a solid four-star hotel, though it's spread over four floors in Logroño's industrial area. About half the rooms have limited views, so ask for one facing the main road. The dining area is a real feature, with parts of the old fort and glass ceilings that make it bright. Service was efficient and proactive. Breakfast, included with some rates, was average, with fruit, bread, cereal and meats. When the Wi-Fi went down during my stay, staff offered an alternative.
