Hotel Traina

I was at Hotel Traina in San Pedro del Pinatar for a camp, and the staff made the stay memorable. Everyone from reception to the cafeteria and housekeeping was pleasant, helpful, and ready to lend a hand. Veronica, Lauda, and Conso deserve a special mention for their warmth and attentive service. The location worked perfectly for getting to the site, and there were plenty of places to eat and convenience stores within walking distance. The rooms were clean and spacious. My first room felt a bit too warm, but the staff quickly found me a more comfortable one where I could keep the window open.

The pool was good, and I liked the pleasant rooftop bar area. Parking costs extra per day, but I was glad it was available. My stay was comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast buffet was good. No complaints, it's a fine hotel.

We'd stayed at the Bahia and the Triana hotel over ten years ago, and the welcome was still lovely. They kindly upgraded us to a balcony room for free. The next day, the whole place was full of several SEN sports groups, but it was still quiet. Our apartment had a bedroom, bathroom, and living, dining, and kitchen area, plus a balcony with houses and the sea in one direction and the street in the other. The apartments are in a sister building to the hotel, so they share the facilities. There's a 'Chinese Bizarre' opposite, and Maxi Dia supermarket is a five-minute walk away. Although you can cater for yourself, try the hotel restaurant. Lunch or dinner is E15 at the buffet, and breakfast is E8. We ate dinner there twice, and they brought me fresh, crusty gluten-free bread. There was a grill station for fish and chicken, a huge salad selection, traditional Spanish food, pizza and pasta, plus plenty of fruit, desserts, and ice cream. Wine and soft drinks were reasonably priced too. Prices in Spain have gone up, but restaurants and bars in Lo Pagan are still reasonable. Locals come to the hotel bar, where they sell pizzas, sandwiches, shoe football games, and large spirits with mixers for E5.50.

The staff are warm and welcoming, and they'll do their best to help with anything. Nothing seems too much trouble. Great value for money.
