The best thing about the stay was the spectacular balcony view, and room service was prompt and on time every day. The rest was a mess. On our first night, we were given a key to a room that was already occupied, and at 3am we accidentally woke a mother and daughter. I felt awful for them. The food was horrible and there was very little choice, so we ended up eating ice cream for dinner every night. We saw several cockroaches around the dining and bar areas, and there was no entertainment. The location was a nightmare, high in the hills of los realjos, with a bus ride of half an hour to an hour to get to peurto de la cruz. The bar had few options, and they didn’t know what Fanta was, though they were generous with the alcohol pours. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, the TV remote didn’t work, and only one elevator was working. Sometimes we had to climb 11 floors. At times the lights wouldn’t come on, and the staff didn’t seem to care about how poor the hotel was.

The panoramic views were amazing, easily the best hotel view I’ve ever had. The stay itself was just fine at best. The rooms and hotel feel dated and could use a facelift, though they were sufficient. It’s far from Puerta de la Cruz, so I wouldn’t stay here if you want to be in the city. The parking is awful. The small lot is always full, leaving you to look for a space on the hilly streets outside. There are only two very slow elevators for a hotel with dozens of rooms over 12 floors. I could climb 10 floors faster than people could get there by lift. And the Wi-Fi was abysmal, very slow and barely usable.

The only upside was that we stayed just one night. The hotel is so old it feels like stepping back into the Soviet Union, if that’s the kind of USSR atmosphere you’re after. Breakfast was absolutely disgusting. And if you arrive after 2:00 PM, don’t expect to find parking. Honestly, the hassle isn’t worth it.

Check-in at the front desk was good, and breakfast had an excellent range of choices. The place was very clean, though a little dated. There wasn’t enough parking for the number of guests, and there was a constant cigarette smell despite the rooms being smoke-free.

Clean and functional, with a particularly good breakfast buffet. The parking spaces are limited and fill up quickly, though there are a few alternatives about a 10-minute walk away. Excellent choice. Congratulations, and thanks.
