We used the apartment for three nights as a base for our Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. It was well located and maintained, and the owners did their best to help with what we needed. They also gave us good recommendations for places to eat nearby. It was a good experience.
There was loads of space and it was really comfortable. Everything was perfect, and town is less than a 15-minute walk away.
I booked a one-day apartment stay through Booking.com. When I called to check in two hours beforehand, they said I didn’t have a reservation because they only accepted stays of at least three days. I gave them my reservation number, but they said that didn’t matter. They had a room free and still wouldn’t let us stay for one night, so we had nowhere to sleep that night.
The location was great, and the house itself was decent, but the damp, musty smell hit us as soon as we checked in. It was so strong that we struggled to sleep the first night, then had to buy dehumidifiers and air fresheners at the supermarket the next day. We also found spiders in the living room, though not in the bedrooms, and spent several days killing them. Some were quite big. Apart from that, everything was fine.
We loved the place. The pictures don’t really show how nice it is. It was very clean and well equipped, and only a ten-minute walk from the center of Luarca.
