Getting around is a problem here. There’s nothing nearby, the beach is a long way off, and even a supermarket means driving more than 20 km. The access road feels dangerous, and the highway is only about 20 meters away. When it rains, there’s nowhere to walk and the house isn’t a comfortable place to stay in. The house is tiny, with no walls, just a small, really uncomfortable sofa. It’s not somewhere you can spend the day, and even sleeping there wasn’t good. The photos and advertising are misleading. I’ve never stayed anywhere worse, and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. By the way, he says I wasn’t there, but he doesn’t deny anything I’ve said.

We had everything we needed for a week in the cottage for two, from the fully equipped kitchen and utensils to linens and towels. It was bright and cozy, with parking right on the property. The green meadow around it is spectacular, with tables where you can sit outside and sunbathe. The beaches of La Cueva and Otur are close, as is Luarca. The owner was helpful and kept checking that everything was just right. My one suggestion is to hang the TV lower on the wall. We had a wonderful stay.

Asturias is beautiful all the way across, and the surrounding villages are really pretty. The house is excellent value, and the owners are lovely. The beaches are well located from here, though you do need a car to reach them and explore the area. We’ll be back.

If you’re after peace, nature, and good experiences, this place is a lovely fit. There’s a nearby beach, and the views are breathtaking. Walkers can spend miles exploring the forest and countryside. The house is spotless and has everything you need. It’s extremely comfortable, and I slept very well. The owners are delightful, cultured, and polite, and their personal attention is exquisite.
