Hotel Spa La Central

The room was awful and so cramped that two people could barely fit, especially in the toilet. The food at the hotel, though, was amazing, and the location deep in the mountains is perfect for getting away from the city. The spa was okay, nothing special, but with few people there we enjoyed it a lot. I’d spend more for a better room and stay at least two nights.

We were there for one night in early September, and it was already chilly in the evening. The natural surroundings are beautiful, the building is lovely, and the welcoming staff were friendly, especially the young woman who loved our cats. Fast Wi-Fi, card payment, and it’s LGBTQIA+ and pet friendly. It’s a very rural area. Breakfast and dinner are excellent quality, but the sustainable approach means a limited choice, with a lot of fish, which I personally don’t like. The rooms and balconies have lovely views, but the rooms lack basics like a fridge or coffee maker. The spa is beautifully designed, with great views, but it’s just one pool and a sauna, and it’s small for the price, €20 per person for two hours. There’s also no direct route to the lounging area by the river, you have to cross the whole yard.

We keep bringing bike tours here because the staff give us a superb welcome and are always helpful. The rooms are simple and very clean, and the spa has recently been renovated. We had a really good dinner, with lots of choice on the set menu. The hotel is remote, in a beautiful spot between lake and forest. It’s rural, and the rooms don’t have all the facilities you might expect in the USA, but that’s part of the charm. A must-see for nature lovers and fans of charming family hotels. If you just need a place to sleep and like the Hilton, this probably isn’t for you. Gràcies per tot!

We spent nearly a week here and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere created by the lovely surroundings. The facilities at the hotel are very basic, though. There’s no minibar, and the rooms don’t have water or glasses. You need to contact reception for essential items, but it’s only open until 8 pm, which feels rather early. Access to services is limited.
