The rooms are nice, but the whole experience wasn't, and I wouldn't go back. I was in Studio 1 on the ground floor at street level, and agree with the earlier reviews about it. I wanted to switch rooms, but the place was fully booked, even though some rooms still appeared available online. They offered to check again, then have me cancel and book again, which made no sense and wasn't possible with my non-refundable booking. I heard rooms are assigned by the system, so it feels like a lottery: maybe you'll be lucky and not get a noisy one. They said they'd improved the system, but I really doubt it. Double windows and external blinds might help block the street noise. The window and blinds weren't appealing to open anyway, since there was trash outside and everyone could see in. The steps to the bed didn't feel very secure, but that was fine for me.

The staff were so accommodating and quick to answer my questions. You could tell they really wanted us to be comfortable. The room was adorable, though it could get a little stuffy when it was warm; it cooled down well in the evenings. We stayed on our first and last days in Spain, and by the end it almost felt like coming home. The location was great and felt safe, close to popular sites, restaurants, shops, and bars. I adored this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Madrid.

We booked the loft for three nights for my parents and me. It's a cool Airbnb with a modern design, right in the city center and next to a big supermarket. The upper bed can move up and down to make more living room space during the day, as shown in my videos. It was a decent stay, but we had a few issues. The door lock was confusing and took time to figure out. There was no air conditioning, and the floor cooling system didn't cool the room effectively, so it got stuffy in summer. Opening the windows helped with ventilation, but we're on the ground floor and let in a lot of insects. There was also a funny smell from the kitchen sink. On our first night, the shower soap dispenser holder fell off the wall, so we had to put the soap and shampoo on the floor.

The owner wouldn't give us another room or a refund. I still wonder how they can list a room like that. This was a nightmare, and the first time I've ever left a hotel during a stay. We were in Studio 1, at street level, and could hear every passing vehicle. The noise was unbearable, and we couldn't sleep at all. The bed was 1.5 meters high, and we had to climb up with no guard at the side to stop us falling.
