The staff were friendly and quick to respond to my requests and complaints, even over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Still, the place needs refreshing. We stayed in four places in Spain, and this was the only one I didn't give five stars. It felt tired and overpriced. There was lots of natural light, all the appliances we needed, and the rooms were quiet given the location. But we found a couple of hairs on the bed and in the ensuite bathtub at check-in. The online photos make the place look bigger and nicer than it is, though they do deserve five stars for the photography. I'd skip the breakfast add-on. For five guests, it was around 75 Euros a night, for a fruit basket, cereal, and one very small pre-packaged croissant per person. Staff kindly made some changes on the second morning after I mentioned it, but it still wasn't worth the price. This was the most expensive place we stayed, but the only one without a smart TV. The online photos make it seem like a large, modern TV, but it's barely bigger than my computer monitor and had no programming. We were there over Christmas and had planned to watch a movie or two with family, so that mattered to us. On the first evening, the fire alarm rang for over 30 minutes before a staff member arrived to silence it. Another guest waiting outside said it wasn't her first stay, and this wasn't the first fire alarm either. Since the hotel isn't staffed 24/7, it seemed strange that it took so long. I'm 6' and 215 lbs. The beds are soft and comfortable, but the mattress edges aren't firm. Sharing with my wife, I felt the mattress slope and push me toward the edge. It should be fine if you're smaller than me or sleeping alone.

The fire alarm has been going off for an hour, and as we evacuate, nobody seems to know what's happening. If an alarm is ringing this long, shouldn't a staff member be alerted and tell guests what's going on, or that someone is looking into it? This is a safety issue.

A very pleasant stay, with kind staff and an excellent location.

I first posted this on Expedia, but it no longer appears there. I'm not sure whether Expedia or the property removed it, so I'm sharing it here for others. We were three people in apartment #5B for four nights, December 26th to 30th, 2024. The location was very good, right above a metro station, and though the building is in a noisy area, the apartment was quiet and clean. There are fast food places like Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks in the building, which is convenient. That's where the positives end. At a very steep nightly price, it offers poor value and has plenty of drawbacks. The bathroom is tiny, with nowhere to hang clothes, and the shower is small with the shower head at an odd angle. The water went tepid and then cold even during a short shower, so we had to stagger shower times. The bedroom is upstairs and the living room downstairs, which wasn't clear in the Expedia description. There was no heater upstairs, and the bathroom heater didn't work. The TV turned on but had no cable or satellite connection, so it was useless. The elevator is tiny and slow when busy, and we took the stairs many times. Maybe we just had bad timing during the peak holiday season, but I wouldn't recommend this property at such a high price.

I like the simple, cute rooms. The downstairs self check-in was broken, which was a pain, but regular check-in upstairs went normally and the woman there was pretty nice. I have to admit it's expensive as hell, but if you're willing to pay, it's fine, honestly.
