7 Islas Hotel

The breakfast service was phenomenal, and there's even a small gym. The restaurant's hours were unpredictable. I was told several times it had randomly closed for 30 minutes, but there are plenty of other options nearby, so it wasn't a big deal. The location is great too, with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and Metro stations close by. You can walk to all the central neighborhoods, and you're just off Gran Via if that's what you're after. Excellent hotel!

Ruben, the supervisor, listened and understood, and I appreciate that. Still, an unpleasant conversation with one receptionist ruined our stay. He accused us of smoking in the room. We do smoke, but we went outside the hotel, and would never smoke in our room. He stood in front of me and said I was lying. If staff suspect a guest of smoking indoors, there are more professional ways to deal with it. He clearly hadn't learned much about customer service.

We found loads of great bars and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk of 7 Islas. The room and breakfast were lovely, and the decor and general feel were great. It's also very reasonably priced. The location made it easy to explore while keeping us away from Gran Via and the intense city center. We loved it!

We stayed in Attica 2 and loved having a balcony. The room was spacious, the staff were friendly, and the buffet breakfast was amazing. The area of Madrid was good, and there's a good gym. My only small complaint is the shower: it's handheld and set in the bath. Not ideal, but manageable. Lovely hotel.
