Hotel Acta Piramides

Plaza Mayor is about a 20-minute walk via street Toledo if you enjoy walking. The hotel is near a circular flow, but the windows are good quality, so it stays quiet. We were there for three nights as a family, and everything else was really great: just a few steps from Piramides metro station, a quite correct breakfast, a clean room with plenty of space for four, and an easy check-in and check-out. One small thing: the quadruple room has two nearly separate rooms with doors between them, which is great, but those doors had no keys. Privacy would be better for families with teenagers if the doors to the room with the double bed could be locked.

Jorge and Sara were unbelievably warm and friendly. Getting such a grand welcome so far from home amazed me. Their kindness touched me enough to make me reflect on my own life. I’ll never forget them, and I’ll keep them in my heart as precious friends. The care in the room was just as striking, from the towels set at the perfect angle to the toilet paper neatly folded and sealed with a water drop. You can feel how much they care about their guests. There weren’t many traditional amenities, but the exceptional service more than made up for that. I travel all over the world for work and stay in hotels constantly, and this staff was the kindest I’ve ever met. I chose this hotel for my first trip to Spain because it’s right by the metro station. Without a doubt, the best hotel. Deepest thanks to all the kind staff. With love, from Prague.

I’ve never booked a worse hotel in my life. I only slept the first night. Over the next two nights, noise from the teenage tenants in room 508 next to my room 507 left me with about one hour of sleep. Before check-in, I told reception I have hypertension, migraine, and insomnia. I felt a severe occipital headache and took an additional dose of my anti-hypertension medication. I prayed I wouldn’t need an ambulance in the next few hours. Reception moved me to a room on the first floor, but it was noisier. I could hear the traffic outside, and because it’s above reception, mornings would be loud with staff and customers arriving and leaving. I’m disappointed with this hotel. Reception staff were very rude, except for the person who checked me in. They weren’t helpful, professional, or understanding at all.

The train and metro are just steps from the entrance, so the hotel’s distance from Madrid’s main attractions doesn’t really matter. Inside, it’s modern and clean, with three elevators, so there’s never much waiting. My wife and I had a generously sized room, and the shower was so good. It pleasantly surprised me!
