Cafe Madrid down the street was a highlight, with really good coffee and friendly staff. The place itself was clean and modern, and the beds were comfortable, but the WiFi was very unreliable. We had to go out toward the staircase to connect, then return to the apartment, and it kept dropping whenever we moved around inside. The neighborhood was disgusting, and we didn’t feel safe nearby. I wouldn’t choose this for a family with young kids or teens.

The apartment was nice and well equipped, with a kitchenette, laundry, dishwasher, and a street-facing balcony. There was some miscommunication with management, but nothing major. I’d asked for a quiet unit facing the courtyard, but was told that wasn’t needed because the loft would be quiet. Instead, loud people leaving the bars downstairs kept me awake until 3 or 4 am, even with earplugs. To be fair, I was jet-lagged too. Still, it’s a good deal in a great location, and I’d recommend it.

The location was excellent, right near Plaza Santa Anna, and the washer/dryer combo was a big help. It was decent value for the price, especially with the washing machine. I stayed three nights at the end of my Spain trip, and the place was good enough for what I needed. The apartment layout was odd, though I’d seen that in other reviews. I knew the attic’s sloping roof and beams might be tricky at 6’7”, and they were. Each bed was a bit hard to climb into and out of, though cozy enough once I was asleep. There were a couple of narrow steps up to the bathroom, which had very little counter space. The shower was small but had good pressure. I had to look up how to use the washer/dryer on YouTube, so a sheet of instructions would’ve helped. The day before my stay, I got a poorly translated email saying they still hadn’t received my documents and information. When I asked, they sent another email requesting my passport details for the “self check-in” site. It seemed like that request should’ve come first. I said hello a couple of times to the property manager when he was outside smoking, and again when he came out of the elevator, but he didn’t reply until my last day as I was leaving. I thought that was odd.

The staff in the building were super friendly and helpful, and there are lots of nice places nearby for lunch, dinner, or breakfast. The location is great. We stayed in the attic as a family of five, and I think the experience could be very different in another type of apartment in the same building. There were enough beds for six, but the space felt too cramped for five. Four people would be the maximum I’d suggest. The bathroom was extremely small, and you could easily bump your head on the roof. There were two lamps with no plugs nearby, so I had nowhere near the bed to charge my phone. The internet kept disconnecting, and there was too much furniture for the space.

Delimer was a warm, generous host who made us feel at home. From the time we booked, she was responsive and accommodating, and gave us great tips on where to eat, what to see, and how to make the most of our time in Madrid. We’re grateful for her kindness and would stay here again next time we’re in town. The apartment hotel was a great home base for our recent stay. It’s near Plaza Santa Ana, right in the heart of Madrid, with attractions, lively neighborhoods, and restaurants close by. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or know the city already, the central location makes exploring easy. Our apartment was spacious, modern, and tastefully decorated, with a cozy living area, bathroom, and fully stocked kitchen. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was there, whether traveling alone, with family, or with friends. The whole experience exceeded our expectations, and I’d recommend it for a business or leisure trip.
