Atico Puerta de Europa

The rooms are far too basic for what they charge. No water, lotion, or similar items, and it costs about as much as a good hotel. They don’t seem to care about their customers. Breakfast was terrible, just pastries and nothing else. They should serve some protein. The people are kind, but I wouldn’t stay here another day.

The hotel was really nice and clean, and the staff were super friendly. It’s away from the main tourist path, so it’s easy to eat and drink where the locals go. Great!!!

The hotel feels cozy, and Gabriella was incredibly helpful. She speaks English and is exactly the kind of person I hope to meet when I travel. She can point you toward local restaurants and attractions. I asked where she herself eats, and the restaurants and Cafes where residents live and eat are excellent places to try better food. The city is easy to get around, even with limited Spanish.

The rooms are clean and modern, the staff are nice, and Wi-Fi is free. It’s very good value, with a Metro station close by. The indoor Café serves a typically Spanish "breakfast", good espresso and sweets. It can get a bit noisy at night.
