The room and bed are pretty small for two, so it can feel cramped, especially for more than one night. Thin walls mean you hear everything from nearby rooms and the hallways, and the street noise comes through too. It could feel claustrophobic for a couple, and that combination of size and noise won't suit everyone. Still, the place is very clean, and having a receptionist on-site felt like a privilege for this kind of property. The shower had good pressure, toiletries were provided, and there were towels. Our room had a little street-facing balcony, which gave it some charm. They also offered free coffee, tea, water and morning croissants. They kept our luggage all day after checkout, which was kind of them. And the location is excellent, just a stone's throw from Gran Vía, handy for walking around central Madrid.

The windows are old and the walls are paper thin, so sleeping was really hard. I've lived in big cities all my life and still didn't sleep at all. When I got to the room, there was also a bag of dirty clothes from one of the cleaners. Not great. I wouldn't stay again, even with the unbeatable location.

A small but usable room in a great area, but ours smelled strongly of tobacco. It was disgusting. Check-in and communication were horrible, and we couldn't ask to switch rooms. Won't be back.

The rooms are clean, small but big enough, and the staff are nice. The location is great. I slept badly in a front room and couldn't move after the first night. If you're an early bird, avoid those rooms at all costs. I'll return, but only for a room at the back.
