Barceló Emperatriz Hotel

The receptionist went out of her way to help when I lost my wallet in the taxi on the way to the hotel. Everyone made me feel welcome and valued, and the service was impeccable. The rooms were impeccable too, if a little dark. Fantastic job!

The senior manager, Laura, didn’t want to do anything and seemed more interested in her private issues than her work. Reception was useless and solved none of my problems. The man working on 11th February said I called too much, even though I called only twice during my five-day stay, and then hung up. Room service, cleaning staff, and bellboys don’t speak English. The receptionist on 11th February had an unbearable accent, and his arrogant manner and high-pitched voice were just as bad. P.S. I’ve read the hotel’s response there and by email. Unfortunately, it’s a lie. Reception didn’t fix any problems, especially with room service. I asked for help several times, but as I said, the men at reception were useless. This isn’t a five-star hotel. They should be working in a hostel.

The staff are what make this hotel special. They’re incredibly efficient and courteous, and we feel at home here. Carmen, the manager, is wonderful. Gemma, Jose Luis, the front desk team, and the receiving staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable, and breakfast is excellent. We love staying here. It’s an amazing hotel.

The bathroom was spacious and clean, the room layout was nice, and breakfast was solid. The local staff were very welcoming. Great location for both business and leisure trips.
