The apartment was okay, though it felt dusty and not quite clean. It was missing some basic supplies too. For four nights, we got just two very thin hand soaps, two tiny bottles of body wash that were enough for one person to shower once, and really small towels. There were no paper towels in the kitchen and only one trash bag, plus salt but no pepper and just a tiny bit of dish soap. The location also wasn’t close to the attractions, so we had to take public transportation every day. We stayed four nights. It was okay, but not great.

We were there for my 6-year-old daughter’s birthday, and the apartment was dangerously hot, over 30°C. Even with the switch off, it was still far too hot to sleep. Since we were on the ground floor, I couldn’t open the windows safely, especially after hearing there’d been a reported break-in attempt three days earlier. My daughter couldn’t sleep, and I was worried about her health. I called the emergency helpline and used the chat box to complain, but nobody came. There’s no staff on-site at Madrid Río. The overheating, security concerns, and lack of response during her birthday and the Valentine’s holidays made this an unacceptable stay. The worst holiday nightmare ever.

The owner was incredibly responsive, and everything was tip top. It’s a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of the city center. We stayed for a week in this almost new apartment, which had all the equipment we needed. I highly recommend it!

We liked the area, and the price was reasonable. Check-in was easy, and the manager kept in touch. The apartment was well equipped and everything seemed like new. We stayed three nights, and it was just what we needed. We’d come back.
