It's a very basic hotel, but the location is great. Turn right as you leave the hostel and walk straight for five minutes to Gran Via, with all its shopping and food options. One hassle is having to collect the keys somewhere else. When leaving, though, you can hand them to the cleaning crew instead of returning to the other hostel. From the airport, we took the €5 airport bus, which dropped us at Plaza Cibeles, then walked 15 minutes to the hostel.
The rooms are small, but have what you need: beds, a table, a chair, AC, and a bathroom. It's a decent option if you're on a small budget and want to be near the city center. Going to sleep early could be a problem, since there are clubs nearby with loud music.
It felt secure and was clean and tidy, with Gran Via only about five minutes away. The only thing I missed was a small fridge in the room, especially in the heat.
Good enough for a quick Madrid trip. It's central and you can get there by car.
Ridiculous, they charged us twice and now I have to ask the bank to try to get our money back because they won't respond to any emails.
