DoubleTree by Hilton Madrid-Prado

It’s a shame we had just one night here. We could walk everywhere we needed for sightseeing, and the location was perfect. The breakfast was delicious, with loads of options and fresh ingredients. Every staff member was hospitable from arrival through departure. They gave us recommendations and took our luggage to and from the taxi. The rooms are modern and had every amenity you could need, and the service was incomparable. I’ve saved the hotel in my Hilton app favourites. We’ll be back!

We had a great time walking around the area, and it felt absolutely safe to be out at night. I booked two rooms for two nights, and the app only let me select rooms far apart. When we arrived, though, they put us in two nearby rooms on the top floor. I was so happy, especially since one room even had a private patio! The breakfast service could be better. They seemed short staffed. One morning we waited about ten minutes without anyone coming out to greet us, and there weren’t any clean plates.

The patio opened straight onto the pool and jacuzzi, which was incredibly convenient and relaxing. Valet parking was easy, and the service was outstanding. From arrival, the DoubleTree at Calle Loiza made the trip feel special. The welcome cookie was a lovely start, and I looked forward to the fantastic empanadillas at breakfast every morning. It was a wonderful stay all around.

The superior room was large and very clean, and breakfast was very good, definitely better than what I usually get at Hiltons in the States when travelling for business. The staff were great. The gentleman at the front desk was especially accommodating, helpful, and professional. Thank you! I’d happily stay again. The bed felt pretty stiff, even though I do like a firm mattress, and the lighting wasn’t enough for putting on makeup, despite having two lighting systems. I even tried using the hallway.
