The beds were super comfortable, and they’d left extra pillows and a comforter. The iron and ironing board were useful too, especially since my cheap travel iron never worked. We were in apartment 5C for two nights. It was very roomy and clean, in a nice neighborhood, and had a TV with apps, lots of outlets, a safe, hangers, a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a stand-up shower, two twin beds, and a pull-out sofa. We never saw or heard anyone else in the building, though we sometimes heard the elevator from inside. Getting used to the door code took a little while. I picked the place for its location and washer/dryer because we needed to do laundry halfway through our trip for the next six days. There weren’t instructions for the appliances, so I had to use YouTube just to start the washer. After trying for an hour to dry our clothes, I found other reviews saying the dryer was broken. That was very inconvenient, and we ended up hanging laundry all over the apartment. The living room was the only place with a TV, but the sofa was awful to sit on because the cushions kept sliding out. We had to pull the bed out to get comfortable. WiFi was great in the living room and completely gone upstairs. A taxi took about 10 minutes to reach some good sites, and Steakburger and PizzArt were only a few minutes away on foot.

We had just arrived, and the rooms felt dark and depressing. The photos online made the rooms look spacious and bright and showed the street-facing front of a beautiful hotel as if it offered a city view. In reality, our small, dark room had a window looking onto a corridor or staircase. The atmosphere in the pictures didn’t match what we found at all. Service was also very poor. They didn’t answer emails. When we called to ask if someone could move us to a better room for an extra fee, nobody was available to speak with us. I was told by email that they’d talk to the owner, then the call ended and we heard nothing. We called again without getting an answer, and later received an email saying they were sorry. I’m considering suing the hotel.

The price was great, the location was perfect, and check-in was easy and early. We got a spacious, very clean apartment with all the amenities. I honestly have no complaints, which is rare for me. I’d absolutely stay here again on another visit to Madrid.

The apartment had what we needed in the kitchen and bathroom, and the beds were adequate. Its central location was a plus, but the interior unit we got for three people felt tiny and cramped rather than like an apartment. There was no natural light, and the bedroom’s tiny window looked onto a patio of about one square meter. We had to cross that patio to reach the place, and it was dirty, cluttered with junk, and smelly. There was also trash from the previous guests under the sink. The walls were marked and needed maintenance, and the sofa was stained.
