The location is handy, close to the Plaza España metro, and the front desk staff were very nice. I don’t want to put the people down, but the hotel itself needs a facelift. The bathroom had old fixtures and a tub so high I had to really climb in, and there was no hot water at the sink. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the TV only had local channels, with no streaming. At 12.50 euros, the breakfast buffet was a rip-off, with very slim pickings. I booked for two and was charged 250 euros. When I changed it to one because the other person had already found another hotel, they didn’t reduce the price.

You’ll have to haul your luggage up several steps to the first level where reception is, with no one offering help 😳. The location is great for reaching most attractions, but the price feels too high for what you get. There are lots of facilities, yet no tea, coffee, or water in the room. Basically no frills.

The room has a kitchenette with a microwave, stove, and utensils, and it felt spacious. The area is very central, with plenty going on day and night, though the busy street is noticeable and the room feels a bit outdated.

We were three couples in three rooms, and all of us were very pleased. The rooms were clean and remodelled, and each had a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, and stove, as well as a safe. Staff were very helpful, and the restaurant served breakfast and dinner at a good price. The location is great.

The air conditioning worked well, but it was so loud that we had to switch it off at night. Our room was just okay and not really clean. We stayed five nights in August with our three-year-old, and came away a bit underwhelmed. The location is convenient, though there are quite a few steps up to reception. The receptionists spoke very limited English, and when we asked for help, they just refused. Maybe it was the language barrier, or maybe they didn’t think the requests were necessary. Breakfast was included, but the buffet was very basic with little choice and, for some reason, no vegetables. The coffee was good, though.
