Espahotel Plaza de España

We were on the 9th floor, with a great view and a really good room. The bed was about 200cm*200cm and stayed steady even when a child jumped on the far side. There was also a small kitchen with a 2 eye electric stove, microwave, fridge with an ice compartment, and basic cutlery. Slippers and shampoo were provided, and there were USB-A ports. I was very happy with the stay, and it exceeded my expectations. A few drawbacks: the hotel entrance is unusual, as shown in the video. The Wi-Fi was terrible, so we mostly used cellular data. Drinks and snacks, including water, weren't complimentary.

The room matched the photos, with a kitchenette and a comfortable bed, and the employees were polite and friendly. We could hear noise from inside the hotel because the room wasn't soundproof, though street sounds didn't reach us. Getting around was easy: Plaza de Espana metro station is within walking distance, with Lines 3 and 10 and a connection to Novociado on Line 2. Bus 001, which runs to and from Atocha station, stops nearby, although buses don't allow heavy luggage. Gran Via, Madrid's main shopping street, is just around the corner. A handy base for a short visit and exploring the city's food.

The room was modern, spacious, and had a great view. The reception and lobby, including the elevators, looked quite dated, but the prime location made that easy to overlook. We were very happy that a babybed was provided free.

The breakfast was a little modest, and getting the stroller up the stairs wasn't easy. Still, the rate was fair, the staff were accommodating, and our large, clean room was quiet thanks to the double windows.
