Room cleaning only happens every 3 days. The location is great and the room was acceptable, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. I was sick on my last day and took a little longer to check out. Receptionist Omar came to my room, was quite rude, and insisted I empty it immediately. He said I'd have to pay an extra fee, which I did.

It's a colorful place with good location and lots of young energy. But it's still a hostel, and sharing a room is a gamble. I booked a 4 beds room and had 2 roommates, so there were 3 of us. We turned the light off around 11:15, but one roommate coughed, farted, snored, masturbated (no, I'm not joking), and made plenty of other human noises. I barely got 5 hours of sleep and started coughing in the morning too. I know that's not the hostel's fault. It's Madrid, a big city with all kinds of people. The price is good, but think about whether it's worth it for you. Put in a little more money and you can get an enough good PRIVATE room.

We stayed about 4 nights. The room was tiny, with hardly any space around the bed, a small sink and microwave, towels, and a TV we didn't use. The bathroom and shower were so cramped we were practically touching the walls. Housekeeping came only every 3 days, which could be improved. Our second-floor window looked onto the back alley, where garbage trucks woke us almost every night between 1-3 am. On two other nights, noisy groups were drinking and talking there. The building felt safe, with controlled access and no random people hanging around, but the alley leading to it is short and steep, which may be hard for some people. The location was a big plus, near lots of attractions but away from the more chaotic areas. The building next door has a shared kitchen and small elevator. The property is mostly a bed and breakfast, while private rooms are in a separate building next door. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We don't speak Spanish, but they spoke with us in English without any trouble. We asked to check in 1-2 hours early, but there were no rooms ready. They did store our luggage for free, which was helpful. The listing said coffee and tea were provided, but only hot water and tea bags were available at reception in the main building. There was a coffee machine, but coffee cost extra. The breakfast buffet is €8 per person per day, though we didn't try it. A decent stay in a great location, but the room size and night noise were definite downsides.

There are plenty of shared areas where you can relax or get work done, and the rooms are comfortable. The staff are really friendly. The walls are thin, so bring earplugs if noise bothers you. Room 406 could use a little bathroom shelf for toiletries. Great place.
