Feelathome Waldorf Suites Apartments

We chose this hotel, specifically the green-looking apartment, through booking because the ratings were high and the photos looked perfect. Hygiene mattered most to us, which is why we picked it and paid more than we wanted despite it being some miles from the center. We were very disappointed on arrival. There were stains everywhere, hair and food crumbs on the carpet, sofa and chairs, and marks on the toilet and bathroom floor. The sink still had food crumbs too. It looked as though things hadn’t been sanitized between stays. We complained, and the cleaning lady came back, but she didn’t have the right supplies. For example, she took something from the bed, wet it with water, and used it to clean the sink. The person on the phone was willing to help and offered options, including extra cleaning. They apparently clean between stays rather than daily, but were prepared to arrange another clean for us. We’d already bought cleaning supplies on the first day so we could clean for ourselves and feel comfortable. We turned down the extra cleaning because the initial work was so poor and they seemed to lack proper supplies, so we no longer trusted it. They wouldn’t offer a partial refund or a room change, which I think would have been appropriate. Instead, they paid for a ride to the airport. Apart from the poor cleaning, the apartment was okay, but we couldn’t enjoy it properly. We didn’t sit on the sofa because of the stains and our doubts that it had been sanitized. At least we learned not to fully trust ratings, reviews and photos. For what we paid at the time, it definitely wasn’t worth it.
