Hospedaje Puente de Vallecas

The rooms are clean, the rates are reasonable, and I'd gladly stay here again when I return. Public transport is easy to reach, even though the hostel isn't very close to Atocha station or the airport. The bus goes right past the door, and there are bars and restaurants nearby. The service was very good, and it's a good option if you're travelling on a budget.

We weren't sure whether our non-cancellable room had been booked correctly because of a mistake on our side or Google's. Armando sorted it all out in just a few minutes. A pleasure to deal with, and very professional.

The staff were more or less able to understand English, though Spanish is welcome. There was 24/7 security, and I enjoyed my stay despite some occasional night noise from the street and other guests. The bathrooms are cleaned every day, and they provide towels, hairdryers, shower gel, soap, toilet paper, and hand sanitizer. I was greeted with cookies, water, and candy, and there was coffee and tea available, plus a daily refreshment with more cookies and candy. My room also had a fridge. There was a cockroach in the bathroom, but the cleaning lady dealt with it right away. You can spot cockroaches on the street too, so it didn't seem like a reason to panic. The shower wasn't touched, but it was fixed the next day. Kudos to the cleaning lady, who worked hard every day to clear up the bathroom after guests.

The place was very clean, and the bathroom was too. The staff were friendly and helpful. When I called because I was lost in the wrong building, Antônio helped me find the right place and even came out onto the street to look for me. Thank you so much.
