The rooms at the back are spacious and quiet, with comfortable beds. The shower gets very hot, though water temperature can fluctuate when lots of people are showering. The staff were very friendly, and breakfast at the nearby cafe was good value. The location is perfect. Getting in felt a little daunting, through a dark, tired corridor, and reception is on the second floor with no sign in the lift. We suggested adding a coffee machine in the common area for early risers. For the quality, it felt a bit expensive, though it was the first weekend of December and rooms across Madrid were full or pricey. Don't hesitate to book!

The building is older, and sound carries a lot. We could clearly hear people talking and coughing at the far end of the hall, though we sleep soundly and it didn't bother us. The rooms were clean and roomy, with a safe, hairdryer and fridge. The hotel is in an excellent location, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Jose gave us 10/10 service. Breakfast was included at a restaurant a short walk away, with excellent coffee and plenty of food options.

Breakfast was good at the cafe around the corner, and the staff seemed nice from what I could tell, though you have to ring the bell each time you want to get in. For a budget stay in Madrid, this was a very good choice. The room was small but had enough space for two, with a neat, clean layout, a spacious wardrobe and AC. It was quiet despite being on a busy restaurant and nightlife street, and you can walk to the main sights. The location is hard to beat. You can hear hallway noise because the rooms aren't well soundproofed, but not street noise. The beds were okay for a few days, though not especially comfortable.

The breakfast was pretty modest, just one toast with a topping such as cheese or tomato, plus jamon and sausage. The location is great, although taxis won't take you right to the entrance, so you have to walk. My room was very small and had no sound insulation. I could hear someone snoring, and the door did little to block light or noise from neighbors passing in the corridor.
