The noise carries easily between rooms. You can even hear a neighbor just turning on a faucet. We also had a very unpleasant interaction with one of the reception staff. She spoke to us only in Spanish, refused to communicate in English, and was rude and unprofessional.

Gran Via is right next door, so the location couldn't be more central. The building has plenty of charm, and the staff were lovely. My room was clean and quiet, and I was really happy with my stay.

At about €100 a day, this was a budget option for a twin room with its own bathroom. The location was okay, roughly a ten-minute walk from SOL. The room was basically clean but old, and the chair looked like it was about to break, so I couldn't sit on it.

The location was great, but there were only two shared bathrooms and the walls were thin. The reception desk was unattended most of the time. Booking directly seemed better than going through a portal.

It's about a five-minute walk from Gran Via, and the room was fairly clean and fairly spacious. There's even a little balcony, though you can only stand on it. Nights were freezing, and they wouldn't give me extra blankets. They understood English very poorly, too. There was also lots of noise from outside. It could be a nice budget hotel if the prices were actually budget. If you find it really cheap, I think it's worth getting.
