8/10
The staff won us over quickly. Our first impression wasn't great, but two minutes later we'd changed our minds completely and felt at home. We were delighted with them. The location is right in the center, though the nearest metro station is an eight-minute walk. The rooms look old-fashioned and a little depressing, but they're spotless and have what you need if you're mainly there to sleep. We had a really good stay for the location and staff, just don't expect pretty rooms.

Valentina gave us such a warm welcome. Hotel Ginebra surpassed what we expected, with nicely designed rooms and fantastic views over plaza Catalunya and La Rambla. Most sights are walkable, including the Gothic quarter, Casa Battlo, and even Sagrada familia.

Check-in was simple, with very detailed information sent well ahead of time, so we knew what to expect. The service was impeccable. The rooms were clean and well equipped, great for a few days, and the location couldn't be beaten. The showers and AC both worked perfectly, and the sheets and towels were clean. 10/10.
