The only thing I liked was the location. The bed was uncomfortable, the shower didn’t work well, and there’s no Wi-Fi in the room. Wi-Fi is available by reception, but they don’t let you sit there and work. You also have to leave your key with reception and wait for them to let you back in each time. One staff member was very rude. When I pointed out something that wasn’t working or wasn’t up to standard, he threatened to cancel the booking and send me out.

The location is the only thing going for this place. Staff were rude and unprofessional, and the rules are ridiculous. They don’t tell you about them before check-in, when getting a refund may already be impossible. It felt more like a high school dorm or juvenile detention center than a hotel. I’d rather sleep on the street. Zero stars if I could. Avoid.

We came looking for a room during the blackout, apagón, when places to stay were hard to find. We were willing to pay, but the older man with glasses at reception was cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. Instead of finding comfort, we left feeling stressed and let down at a time when some compassion would have mattered. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially when people are in need. The service and attitude were poor, with no professionalism. To the man with foggy lenses and a superiority complex, if you’re still there, congratulations on keeping that front desk warm while the rest of the world moves on without you. Avoid it unless being judged by bifocals and bad energy sounds appealing.

We were stranded without a place to stay after all trains to Barcelona were cancelled for the day during the big meltdown in Spain. With the prospect of sleeping on the street, I was prepared to pay 120 euros a night in April for a room here. My partner had only a digital passport copy and a NIE that had expired because the authorities in Barcelona hadn’t renewed it on time. My own documents were available. Once the owner, or perhaps the receptionist, found that out, he sent us away. We eventually found a great place at Hostal Cruz Sol for 40 euros less, but finding somewhere that day was traumatic. Hospitality should mean looking after guests, especially when there’s a problem. This place showed no understanding or soul, and I’ll avoid it.
