For 30 euros a night, this felt far too expensive, even for central Madrid. The place was uncomfortable and dirty. It’s an old, run down apartment turned into a cheap hotel, and my tiny room had no windows. It looked nothing like the photos, and the filthy walls made it feel like a prison cell. I couldn’t sleep because neighbors were having sex and playing music. The walls were so thin I could also hear other guests snoring and sneezing. Places like this shouldn’t exist.

My belongings were kept by the hostel keeper, who refused to return them and shouted at me to leave. I could see where my things were. I called the police, but they couldn’t do anything. The rooms were dirty and bad too. Be careful!

The location worked well for sightseeing, and Puerta del Sol is only a four-minute walk away. Staff were polite and helpful, and it was good value for a short stay. The room and furniture felt dated, though. There’s a shared bathroom with just one shower for the whole complex, and the TV in the room had no remote.

For 30 euros, I’d choose this over a pricier hotel in Madrid. The rooms are comfortable, and it’s a good place to stay if you’ll be getting around Plaza del Sol. Everything was clean, though a bit damp, which didn’t bother me. I’d happily come back.
