The owners, a mother and son, were fantastic. She doesn’t know English, but her son speaks it fairly well. The mother was very sweet and gave us maps showing what was around the city. The free Wi-Fi worked well, and the rates were very reasonable. We had some privacy, and the place had an interesting character that made it a fun part of our Madrid stay. Our room had two beds, a shower, a sink, and a safe. The rooms were quiet, and the toilet was across the hall. Getting in was a bit of a hassle. The entrance is in a complex right next to Taco Bell. The location is prime, near lots of good central landmarks. There’s a small two-person elevator, plus a bigger one at the back. I enjoyed the old elevator.

Charo and her son gave us a warm, friendly welcome and did their best to make us comfortable. We stayed 2 nights in a double room with AC, right across from the entrance. The bathroom in that particular room was very small. The hospedaje is on the 6th floor of a historic building, with a fantastic two-person elevator. The entry mosaics are awesome. It’s a great spot if you want to be in the center of everything in Madrid, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.

For a city break, the central location was perfect, and the place was super clean. Even right in the middle of town, our room stayed quiet at night. The hosts were very accommodating too. I stayed for 1 week in June 15, and this was the best city center accommodation I’ve ever had, especially for a budget stay.

It’s wonderfully located, really quiet, and the prices are excellent. If there’s a room available next time I’m in Madrid, I’ll stay here again.
