The location is good, and the room matched the booking: a bed and a shower. But the worst part was the heavy smell of smoke in the room, and there were no other rooms available. When we complained, they clearly didn’t care and said it was the last guest’s fault. After we argued for a day, they finally aired it out and cleaned it more thoroughly. As other reviews mention, staff are barely ever on site and speak only Spanish. The walls are thin too, so it’s a poor fit if you’re sensitive to noise. I’d only recommend it to Spanish speakers who can put up with a shabby stay for a day or two. Otherwise, don’t book it.

We spent four nights here, and the place was awful. The room looked clean at first, but it was full of mold, and the mattress was extremely dirty. The sheets were too small and kept sliding off whenever we moved, exposing the mess underneath. The blanket was filthy too. When we asked for a replacement, all they gave us was a thin sheet. We had to keep the air conditioning on to warm the room, but it smelled bad as well. Even the towels smelled of chlorine. The list goes on. Worst hostel ever.

The noise was easily the worst part. If the people in nearby rooms are loud, you hear absolutely everything. We stayed three nights and never saw anyone at reception. The hostel also feels neglected beyond that. The rooms badly need renovation, and they’re short on basic furniture like a small wardrobe or chest of drawers, a table, or a towel rack.

I wouldn’t come back. The reception service was terrible, and you can hear every sound, including people talking inside and outside the rooms. Very bad.

It’s a practical, affordable place in an excellent spot for exploring the area, especially if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night. The rooms and beds are small but do the job, and cleanliness is adequate. Finding parking nearby can be quite difficult, particularly at busy times.
