The staff seemed like they were being made to work there, or like helping you was a favor. The whole vibe felt off. The luggage rule was one of the most ridiculous hostel policies I’ve seen: you have to leave your bags downstairs in a room set aside for them. Still, it’s a cheap place for a clean bed and a shower, and that’s about all. Fine for a night or two, tops.

I booked a room and had confirmation on May 11th, 2026, but they canceled it for “Overbooking” on the very day I was checking in. I’d already traveled there exhausted, and ended up stranded without the room. It wrecked my itinerary and my mood, and left me stressed and out of pocket while trying to find a last-minute alternative in Madrid. The management showed no professionalism or regard for people or their agreements. Save your money and peace of mind, stay away.

There are too few toilets and bathrooms for the number of beds. When the hostel is full, it must turn into a mess. The staff were very unwelcoming and seemed to say no to everything. You can’t keep your luggage under the bed, it has to go in the luggage room with everyone else’s bags. You’re not allowed to eat in the common room either. I’d understand a rule against eating in bedrooms, but the common room? Please find somewhere better. The staff need training in how to treat guests.

The rooms were cramped and crowded, and the smell was disgusting, especially around the only bathroom on the floor. It didn’t feel safe or clean at all. You have to leave your belongings in an unsupervised room instead of keeping them with you. We do not recommend it.

I usually sleep in a tent when I travel and have almost no demands, but this stay was a complete disaster. Booking.com for some reason won’t post my review, so I’m putting it here. It didn’t feel like a place for travelers, more like a cheap place for locals or immigrants to live. I didn’t see any travelers. The whole place is tiny. Imagine a small bedroom with five bunk beds, so ten people, and everyone coughing right next to you. The kitchen is so small you probably can’t cook, and the tables are right next to the toilets. There are only three tables for so many people, so I had to eat standing up. If you’re traveling, avoid it unless you want the experience of living with locals.
